Óscar Fernández: “The lack of efficiency is hurting us”

 Valencia CF Mestalla head coach, Óscar Fernández shared his thoughts in post-match interview following a 1-2 loss in their 2021 opener against Deportivo Alcoyano on matchday 9 in group III B of Segunda B.   

"It’s a tough loss it hurts, tough to swallow. The lack of efficiency is hurting us. We were far supierior in the first half with chances that we failed to finish off. We had a clear-cut chance early in the second half that went off target.

The opposition had a really good second half. They equalise and in the next play we go down to ten men. They boys showed desire, but we weren’t clinical in the pass. We must be clinical in the final third. It’s a tough loss today".
